Taigh na Traon is a charming traditional crofthouse set in its own delightful wooded garden and surrounded by breathtaking moorland and mountain scenery, and is an ideal location for a holiday on the Isle of Skye.

Taigh na Traon, previously a well-loved family home, now provides an ideal location for self catering holidays and is well equipped to welcome up to 6 people and provides an excellent base from which to explore the magical Isle of Skye.

A wonderful place for a self catering holiday, Taigh na Traon is also a pleasant retreat for those who just want to relax and take it easy in a lovely, warm and comfortable cottage in a beautiful, quiet Highland setting.

The cottage benefits from three comfortable bedrooms - a downstairs twin bedroom, an upstairs twin bedroom and an upstairs double bedroom.

The attractive stencilled kitchen is fully equipped with a dishwasher, microwave oven, gas cooker and large fridge, and the utility room contains a freezer, washing machine and tumble drier. The bathroom is downstairs and has a toilet and a bath with shower.

The cosy well-furnished lounge has a peat/coal/wood-burning stove and a colour television, video and hi-fi with CD, radio and cassette player, and the adjoining sunroom is a peaceful place from which to enjoy the lovely views. The house is centrally heated throughout. The wooded garden is fully enclosed and there is ample parking. A cot and a high chair are available.

A complimentary dram of Isle of Skye whisky, a box of Scottish shortbread, some lemongrass soap from the Isle of Skye Soap Company and some of our own free-range eggs (when available) await you on your arrival, together with a tea tray laid for a welcome cup of tea.
